For the long weekend, we decided to spend it in JB. Our friend from the UK, Azida wanted to host us - which coincided with Anita's birthday and them moving to their new place.

We set off early as planned on the Saturday morning. We wanted to reach Azida's place by around lunchtime. Slight delay and we made it to JB by 2.

Itul stayed at our apartment from the night before which made the start more straight forward. We hooked up with Syahril at the Tangkak exit, in an MPV with all his four kids. We planned to have some satay in Muar to break the journey. And Itul picked the venue.

Renney Satay Muar is a famous spot there and it did not disappoint. Succulent satay with excellent sauce, and they also served a few other local delicacies such as mee bandung.

The service was fast. And it helped that we were there at around 10 in the morning. We got ourselves seated on the longest table in the shop. I went straight for the satay, followed by a bowl of mee bandung. Irfan especially loved the satay.

The rest of the journey to JB took us about 2 hours. Azida was waiting for us when we reached her place, with more food ...
